Located in the Mediterranean, off the east coast of mainland Spain, Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands and a main tourist destination for Europeans. This island is rich with millennia-old history and culture but has recently become famous for its beaches and mesmerizing blue waters that make Europeans ditch Caribbean and Asian destinations in favor for this gem of an island. With a dazzling personality and lavish beaches, Mallorca's majestic landscapes are checkered with Fincas (abandoned estates), quaint villages, wineries and olive groves full of charm. As you dine at the heart of the Mediterranean cuisine culture in Palma, you will be enchanted by the laid-back, traditional, and soulful charm of this coastal paradise.

The City
Palma de Mallorca, the capital of the island, is located in the bay of the same name and enjoys an excellent climate all year round (with an average annual temperature of 64.2° F). The city stretches along both sides of the bay, with over five beaches and eight bathing areas – long stretches of sand with crystal clear waters where you can enjoy the sun or the sound of the waves. Historic Palma de Mallorca boasts patios, outstanding religious architecture, and iconic buildings, as well as museums and art galleries. The Cathedral, the Almudaina Palace, the Lonja fish market, and the Plaza Mayor are some of the sites that are well worth visiting. The most beautiful monuments are surrounded by fishing boats, pine forests, and palm trees.
