The World Traveler Program is an exciting opportunity to travel within Europe for 6 weeks while exploring the different healthcare systems and medical practices in three different countries. While the Atlantis program structure is the same in each country, program participants get the chance to see the life of a doctor in a local hospital in Portugal, Spain, and Serbia.
Almada, a small port city with a large population, offers students an authentic Portuguese experience with excellent seafood and easy access to Lisbon. Students will experience a bustling hospital environment with over 500 beds and a wide range of departments.
Barcelona speaks for itself as one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. The largest city on the Mediterranean Sea, Barcelona has incredible beaches and a laid-back culture. While most people will only have the chance to spend a few days exploring its enchanting streets, a few weeks in BCN will have you practicing some new Catalan vocabulary. Barcelona is an incredible opportunity for you to have an exciting medical experience and learn about medicine in one of the world's most beautiful cities.
Belgrade, the heart of the Balkans and the capital of Serbia, offers a travel experience "off the beaten path" and a shadowing experience at the largest healthcare institution in the country with unique medical cases.
